So rather than starting a new topic every time Mats picks his nose in a new town, post it all here!
The chase for Mats Sundin continues and the list of suitors continues to grow.
The Ottawa Sun is reporting that the Senators remain in the hunt for the former Maple Leafs captain and that general manager Bryan Murray has held regular discussions with Sundin's representation in an attempt to bring the former Senators-killer to the Nation's Capital.
"The only thing I would say is that we remain interested," Murray told the Ottawa Sun.
The 37-year old Sundin has begun working out in Los Angeles as rumours continue to swirl about his potential NHL comeback.
While the Senators have been actively pursuing Sundin, there are plenty of other teams interested as well; most notably the Vancouver Canucks, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens and potentially the Chicago Blackhawks.
At the moment the Senators do not have enough room under the salary cap to sign Sundin, however Murray has reportedly indicated to the Swede that they will clear space in order to be able to sign him.
The price would not be cheap as the Vancouver Canucks have a two-year contract on the table for Sundin worth a reported $20 million.
The Senators have been in desperate need of a top six forward in order to balance their scoring which depends largely on the top line of Jason Spezza, Dany Heatley and Daniel Alfredsson.
Sundin enjoyed an excellent season last year scoring 32 goals and 46 assists in 74 games.
